Helping Cancer Patients Find Hope & Support

Tricia’s Troops Cancer Connection

The Need
Tricia’s Troops identified a growing need for in-person mental health and wellness support for Lake Country-area cancer patients and their caregivers. As a grass roots organization, “Tricia’s Troops” was a nickname given to the numerous individuals lending their support to Tricia throughout her struggles with cancer. Following her passing, the organization was formalized and continues its caring mission through her sister and executive director, Candace.

The Impact
Our grant helped support counseling services, support groups, wellness workshops and retreats that help cancer patients and caregivers during treatment.

Why It Matters
By supporting whole-person care—including emotional and mental wellbeing—Tricia’s Troops helps local families navigate their cancer journeys with hope, strength and community support.
